The first time I was introduced to art, it was through a picture book. Illustration and the juxtaposition of just the right type create beautiful pages that motivate children to read. Legibility is the most important aspect in children's books, but the books of today are pushing the boundaries of what children are being introduced to. The earlier you introduce children to beautiful images, the better off the world will be.
